The EU-Russia Year of Science 2014 will start in Moscow in the late November 2013

The launch of the Year of Science 2014 will be celebrated with a series of events from 25 to 27 November 2013 in Moscow, namely the Opening Ceremony, a Conference on Prospects of Future EU-Russian Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation, and the start of the ERA.Net RUS Plus initiative.

The workshop "MARIE CURIE spotted: Co-funding of regional and national programmes for the training and mobility of researchers by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions" at the OPEN DAYS in Brussels on 8 October 2013

From 7 to 10 October 2013 the "OPEN DAYS – 11th European Week of Regions and Cities" will take place in Brussels. The Marie Curie COFUND Action will participate on Tuesday 8 October 2013 in the afternoon with the workshop "MARIE CURIE spotted: Co-funding of regional and national programmes for the training and mobility of researchers by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions" at the Conference Centre of Albert Borschette.

Researcher Careers and Mobility - Irish Presidency Conference in Dublin (Ireland) on 14-15 May 2013

The conference Researcher Careers and Mobility, which will be held in Dublin  on 14th and 15th May 2013 under the auspices of the Irish Presidency, will be an opportunity to gauge progress in achieving the objectives of the European Research Area with respect to researchers. The objective of the conference is to advance the objectives of the Innovation Union and the European Research Area, focusing on the well-recognised barriers to mobility and career development of researchers.

Research and Innovation: European Commission widens search for expert advisors for Horizon 2020

The European Commission has today launched a call asking experts from all fields to participate in shaping the agenda of Horizon 2020, the European Union's future funding programme for research and innovation. Advisory groups will provide high quality and timely advice for the preparation of the Horizon 2020 calls for project proposals. 

Conference “EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration (ES:GC2)”, 4-8 March 2013, Brussels

The European Parliament will host a five-day conference on “EU Science: Global Challenges, Global Collaboration” (ES:GC2), starting on March 4th, 2013, in Brussels. The conference will bring together science policymakers, scientists and industry representatives from 100 different countries and will place EU research at the centre of the international response to global challenges. It will be convened by ISC - Intelligence in Science, under the auspices of the Irish Council Presidency, in conjunction with the European Parliament.
