From 7 to 10 October 2013 the "OPEN DAYS – 11th European Week of Regions and Cities" will take place in Brussels. The Marie Curie COFUND Action will participate on Tuesday 8 October 2013 in the afternoon with the workshop "MARIE CURIE spotted: Co-funding of regional and national programmes for the training and mobility of researchers by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions" at the Conference Centre of Albert Borschette.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs) will be the EU's flagship programme for supporting training and mobility of researchers under Horizon 2020, the future Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2014-2020. Regional authorities that are funding or managing doctoral or fellowship programmes for researchers can receive additional funding under the MSCA COFUND.

The workshop will give best practice examples of COFUND programmes, demonstrating their potential to support regional policies by internationalising the human resources in European regions. Special attention will be paid on possible synergies of COFUND on one side and the European Structural and Investment Funds on the other side.

The registration for participants is open. Further information is available at the OPEN DAYS website.
